Police!

So I had wondered if Japanese police actually go around and pull people
over for violating the law. After all, it seems as if almost everyone
drives well over the speed limit and likes to run through red lights.
Well I got my answer this morning when driving home from base. I saw a
big motorcycle, bigger then any I had seen so far here in Japan, drive
by me rather quickly. When I realized that it had shinny white sides and
that is had an all blue dressed uniformed driver, I had a feeling it was
most definitely a police officer. My feeling was right when it was about
10 yards in front of me (while in a tunnel) and it turned on it's bright
red flashing lights and then the sirens started going off. I freaked a
little and started slowing down just in case he was pulling me over.
However, the officer then went closer to the guy on the moped a little
ways from me. I still stayed behind them just in case he was pulling
both of us over. After this went on for about a minute another car
rushed around me, so I figured I was good to go. I have no clue what the
moped driver did to get pulled over, put I was very happy it didn't end
up being me!!! So beware! They do actually pull people over here in
Japan!

Oh and here is a photo of our little car. I love it and it makes driving so much easier over here to have it!
