Change of Command Ceremony

Russell's ship got a new Commanding officer or Captain and Russell of course was party of the ceremony as were the rest of the crew. I got to attend the ceremony as guest of the Captain because I am one of the newly appointed Family Readiness Group board members. It was very cool to get a formal invitation and get to sit in the first row of guest seats among both the new and old Captain’s family members, very important Admirals and a few others. It was nice to get photos of the event and take a few formal photos of Russell and I all dressed up.

All of my photos have the FRG logo on them because I also shared them on our FRG webpage.

I shot this photo during the ceremony from my seat.

I take this opportunity to pose for a photo while I have my handsome sailor in his dress white uniform. This doesn't happen often....

The news site is all in Japanese, but I google translated it so I could read it. If you click on the read more at the bottom of the article you can see many more photos.
